Terms for platform and recruiting workflows

1. Eligibility and acceptance

You must have authority to accept these Terms on behalf of yourself or your organization. You agree to provide accurate account data and keep credentials secure.

2. Service scope

• Public pages and lead forms.
• Verifier preview and full report workflows.
• Role-based client and job-seeker portals.
• Job board and hiring pipeline tooling.

Certain features require authentication, paid plans, or separate commercial agreements.

3. Customer responsibilities

• Use the platform only for lawful employment and recruiting activity.
• Ensure uploaded content and candidate data are collected and processed lawfully.
• Comply with anti-discrimination, employment, licensing, and privacy laws.
• Maintain human review over final hiring decisions.
• Avoid uploading unnecessary sensitive identifiers (for example SSNs or full DOB) unless explicitly required by law and agreement.

4. Acceptable use restrictions

You may not:

• Use the platform for unlawful, discriminatory, deceptive, or abusive conduct.
• Attempt to breach, overload, reverse engineer, or disrupt platform controls.
• Upload malware, unauthorized scraping tools, or harmful automation.
• Misrepresent identity, credentials, or legal authority.

6. Fees, billing, and subscriptions

Paid features are governed by your selected plan, checkout flow, and any signed commercial agreement. Subscription fees renew automatically unless canceled in accordance with your plan terms.

You authorize payment processing through our billing provider. Taxes, if applicable, are your responsibility unless stated otherwise.

7. Intellectual property and data rights

Lumen retains rights in the platform, software, workflows, and branding. You retain rights in your uploaded data, subject to rights necessary for us to provide and secure the service.

8. Warranties and disclaimers

Except where required by law, services are provided "as is" and "as available." Lumen disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lumen is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages. Aggregate liability is limited to fees paid by you for the affected service period.

10. Indemnity

You agree to defend and indemnify Lumen for claims arising from your data, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access for security reasons, non-payment, legal risk, or material breaches of these Terms.

12. Governing law

Unless a separate agreement states otherwise, these Terms are governed by applicable U.S. law and relevant state law.
